A research position is available on a temporary basis, in a project sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. India, entitled Immobilized enzyme membrane reactor for the conversion of lactose into galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS)

1. Senior Project Associate

Salary Range: - Rs. 12000 - 1200 - 24000 / -

Qualifications :

• M. Tech. B. O Tech. + 2 years of experience in Engineering or Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree in biochemical kinetic modeling and analysis.
  For an excellent candidate for the starting salary of about Rs. 15 600 / - (consolidated) may be considered. The appointment is for one year (initially) and can be expanded up to three years.
• The aim of this work: - Functional foods (GOS and FOS) is a growth industry. The objective is to study the production of GOS from lactose using immobilized enzyme membrane reactor (EMR).
• Opportunity: - The work requires extensive experiments to observe the influence of the variables in the enzymatic conversion of lactose in the immobilized enzyme SMO conditions using commercially available enzymes and the use of various configurations DME module.
